A film born out of musician Bá Alvares’ creative residency with members of Portas P’rà Vida, an association from Lamego that seeks to promote the social inclusion of so-called “disabled” people, and are here joined by filmmaker Eloísa Micaelo to present the film under the authorship of Tribo Improviso (also the name of the band), hence seeking to best attribute a well deserved creative horizontality absent of hierarchies. A poetic movie soundtracked by this collective’s music that gives voice and protagonism to a largely ignored and marginalized community, showing how far the able-bodied world still has to go to be able to listen, value and thus challenge notions of ability and provide greater acceptance of those who go unheard.
